Overview
MicroPolar LB 576/568 is an online moisture analyser for bulk materials that uses state-of-the-art microwave transmission technology. The moisture measurement is non-contact, either across a conveyor belt or chute. Since there is no contact with the measured material, the sensors are not subject to wear and tear, and maintenance is not required. Typical industries include power plants, mining, chemical, pulp and paper, and building materials.
The MicroPolar LB 567 is designed for applications with constant measuring conditions (e.g., constant particle size, bulk density, etc.). Measurement is carried out without the need for radiometric compensation. With a height sensor, the system compensates for varying bulk heights on the conveyor belt.
For more demanding applications with varying bulk density conditions, the MicroPolar LB 568 is recommended. In addition to moisture measurement using microwave technology, the system also employs a radiometric source and detector to measure area weight (mass per unit area). This combination allows the microwave moisture signal to be compensated for changes in bulk density, resulting in significantly improved measurement accuracy.
