Overview
The LB 350 is a measuring system for the real-time determination of moisture content in a wide variety of bulk materials such as coke, sinter mixture, ore, sand, and building materials, and it is used on many different types of vessels. The online moisture analyser is primarily intended for applications that cannot be solved with conventional sensor technologies due to the conductivity or specific chemical properties of the material to be measured.
The LB 350 uses neutron moisture measurement, a very robust and proven technology with a long track record for measuring moisture in bulk and construction materials. It operates reliably even when most other moisture measurement techniques fail. The large measurement volume of up to one meter in diameter ensures a representative reading. Once installed and calibrated, the system provides highly reliable, maintenance-free moisture monitoring of bulk materials for several years. The LB 350 can additionally be equipped with bulk density compensation, which increases the accuracy of the moisture measurement in cases of strongly fluctuating product bulk densities.
