Balancing the flow

Pumps are widely used in industry. Almost all pumps have single or double seals with or without barrier fluids. With barrier fluids, it is important that a certain flow always flows through the seal. This is to flush out any medium past the seals, or to feed seal fluid past the seals into the process to keep the seal surfaces clean. It is therefore important to monitor the flow. If the flow is too low, overheating or extreme wear or fouling can damage the seals. But if too much medium flows through, you lose barrier fluid (mostly water) and you want to keep this as minimal as possible.

By using the AF-E 400 electromagnetic flow meter, with which the minimum/maximum flow can be adjusted, monitoring can also be set by setting a relay for minimum flow as well as any maximum flow. There are even flush systems that circulate a medium where the temperature of the medium is also a parameter. An AF-E 400 can provide for this as well. 

A similar application is for ring vacuum pumps. These vacuum pumps work only if the right amount of water is not kept in the pump. This water "ring" allows the pump to create a vacuum. Again, if too much water goes through this is not good for the pump and too much water is discharged to the sewer. No water is not good either, so you need a low flow guard. Here, too, an AF-E 400 is optimal. You can show the quantity (flow), adjust the system accordingly and monitor the flow.
