Challenge

The formation of moisture and condensation on the plug contacts of conventional sensors is one of the most frequent causes of measurement failures at measuring points with humid or condensing atmospheres.

Solution

KROHNE SMARTPAT sensors for pH, ORP and conductive conductivity feature an integrated transmitter that is potted in the sensor head. In this way, the transmitter electronics is 100 % resistant to the impact of moisture or condensation, providing an accurate 4…20 mA/HART signal for increased plant availability and process safety.
