SIL 2/3 and FF/PA for OPTIWAVE radar level transmitters
- 24GHz and 80GHz radar level transmitters (2-wire) now available with SIL 2/3 certification
- FOUNDATION fieldbus and PROFIBUS PA communication output options
KROHNE introduces SIL 2/3 certification and fieldbus communication options for the OPTIWAVE series.
The radar level transmitters have been designed according to IEC 61508 and are approved for use in safety-critical systems where a SIL 2/3 safety function (SIL 3 with 1oo2 channel architecture) is required. The SIL option is available for all 2-wire versions.
As new 4-wire communication options, FOUNDATION fieldbus and PROFIBUS PA are available in combination with ATEX, IECEx, NEPSI and cQPSus approvals.
The new options are available for the following 24GHz and 80GHz FMCW radar level transmitters:
OPTIWAVE 5400 for liquids in basic applications
OPTIWAVE 7400 for agitated and corrosive liquids
OPTIWAVE 7500 for liquids in narrow tanks with internal obstructions
OPTIWAVE 3500 for liquids with hygienic requirements
OPTIWAVE 6400 for solids from granulates to rocks
OPTIWAVE 6500 for powders and dusty atmospheres
