Level measuring ? guided or without contact

OPTIWAVE 7300 C

OPTIWAVE and OPTIFLEX, the latest level measuring instruments from KROHNE, are setting new standards in the complex applications of the paper industry. This means that reliable measurements can now be made, even in tanks with a moving surface, foam formation or deposits.

With its OPTIFLEX, KROHNE offers a level measuring instrument with guided radar, which employs TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) technology to provide greater accuracy through the now higher signal dynamics and more sharply separated pulses.

With the OPTIFLEX, measurements beyond a dielectric constant of 1.1 are not a problem. One typical use of the OPTIFLEX is measuring the level of bentonite for example.

For no contact measurements, the OPTIWAVE works on the FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) principle. Here too, the measurements are extremely reliable, especially in tanks with fittings.

The OPTIWAVE has higher signal dynamics and greater bandwidth, which allow it to achieve a higher degree of accuracy and reliability. When measuring the level of acids and alkaline solutions for processing tanks used to launder felt, the no contact measuring method with OPTIWAVE is ideal.

Both measuring instruments are used to measure the distance, fill level and volume of fluids, pastes and solids. The OPTIFLEX is also suitable for measuring interfaces. Both OPTIWAVE and OPTIFLEX offer easy navigation via a touch screen, a display in nine languages and the standard no-cost DTMs for PACTware.
