KROHNE and BASF present batching unit with OPTIMASS
BASF Batching Unit with OPTIMASS
Following KROHNE's introduction last year of a BASF batching unit with the OPTIFLUX electromagnetic flowmeter, the two companies will again be presenting a batching unit at this year's Zellcheming in Wiesbaden.
The OPTIMASS 3000 mass flowmeter by KROHNE is now an integral component. This batching unit is used in the wet end section of paper plants for dosing chemicals such as retention agents. In the model, polyacrylamide emulsion is measured by an OPTIMASS 3000, intended for small flow volumes, below 15 kg/h. A measurement can also be carried out using mass flowmeters when the product is lacking in conductivity. In such cases, the accuracy is obvious at once.
By means of an eccentric spiral pump, the emulsion is pumped through the OPTIMASS and then mixed with water in a rotary pump. Depending on the system, the influx of water is measured by an H 250 variable area flowmeter or an OPTIFLUX 5300 electromagnetic flowmeter.
