KROHNE supplies systems for all wet gas applications - from single stream multi-phase metering to complex multi-platform allocation. We design and supply wet gas metering systems for separate flows, test separators and in-line multi-phase metering. All systems are fully controlled and validated by our proven, tailored-to-use software. On the meter side, we have extensive experience in wet gas measurement with our own venturis, orifice plates and all other technologies. Our meter train designs are based upon intimate knowledge of gasfluid properties, temperature behaviour and compressibility.
Normally installed upstream of fiscal or custody transfer gas meter, we generally recommend venturis instead of orifice plate due to their classical shape which allows liquid slugs to pass through the unit without having liquid hold-up.
Wet gas meters are generally the first meter to measure the gas and are found offshore and onshore, in reservoir / well management - and usually at a satellite platform. They frequently replace a well test separator- mainly for smaller wells below 18”m but are also used for subsea and downhole measurement.
