OPTISWIRL 4070 C: Prize-Winning TechnologyVortex flowmeter was awarded the grand prize at the Magyarregula
Duisburg, April 20, 2009:
The KROHNE OPTISWIRL 4070C was awarded the grand prize at the 23rd Magyarregula 2009 in Budapest.
Norbert Verhoeven, Regional Manager Europe North at KROHNE and Janos Pocsik, owner of KROHNE's Hungarian partner Mérker 2007 were on hand to accept the award at the exhibition. The Magyarregula is held annually in Budapest and showcases the latest innovations from industry and the worlds of Information and Control Technology over 3,500 m² of exhibition space.
The jury, which was chaired by Professor István Vajk and included Dr. György Kovács (Director of the Computer and Automation Research Institute, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, MTA SzTAKI) and Dr.László Kiss (Hungarian Electrotechnical Association, MEE), awarded the prize to the OPTISWIRL 4070 C vortex flowmeter.
OPTISWIRL 4070C win the prize because of its innovative technology. It is the first 2-wire device with integrated pressure and temperature compensation as standard. As a result, it is essentially three devices in one: Vortex flowmeter, pressure and temperature sensor. All measured values are recorded at the same point in the meter so that no additional deviations occur. Both the installation costs and the cabling required for the additional sensors are eliminated.
