OPTIFLUX for dosing bentonite and antifoaming agent

Bauer Verfahrenstechnik GmbH has installed OPTIFLUX devices in its ECC plants. These plants, and the OPTIFLUX, are used in the paper and corrugated board industry, e.g. in the new corrugated board factory of a reputable manufacturer in Thuringia.

The Bauer plants are fully automatic and used for degradation of native starch. Applications for degraded starch are size presses and coatings. The OPTIFLUX is used in this case for dosing bentonite and antifoaming agent.

Apart from the fact that the OPTIFLUX, with its extremely smooth measuring tube liner, can dependably measure the flow rate of starch and paste without these substances adhering to the liner, an important issue for the customer was communication.

Since plant operation is fully automatic, control of the measuring devices, including individual ones, is extremely important. The OPTIFLUX has all the necessary requirements for such communication.
