OPTIFLUX doses water-based solutions

A chemical company in Basle, Switzerland doses a range of water-based solutions in its processes. The company needed a measuring unit which could quickly and accurately detect when the exact dosed amount is reached.

KROHNE recommended its OPTIFLUX 4300 electromagnetic flowmeter. A DN 50, Ex version was installed and is now giving reliable service at the company's works. Dosing is controlled by a Batching Master 110i. The control valve closes automatically when the set batch amount is reached. HART technology is used for programming and communications. This is an outdoor application and the OPTIFLUX has therefore been fitted with a protective roof (see photo).
