Application
RÃœTGERS Chemicals AG has three process tanks installed in its plant in Castrop-Rauxel. Three level gauges are installed on top of three tanks.

Problem
The tanks are very small and the level gauge had to be installed close to the edge of the tank. Furthermore, there is a long nozzle. The measuring range is rather small.

Solution
The high frequency and the sharp pulses of OPTIFLEX together with the First Meter Snap Shot (see Monthly Level Information February 2006) enable KROHNE to measure close to the flange and deliver reliable readings. The monorod has a length of 620mm.
