Largest order for CARGOMASTER® in Dae Sun Shipyard, Korea

(2008-November)
The largest order ever for KROHNE Skarpenord was signed with Dae Sun Shipbuilding recently. Full CARGOMASTER® tank level gauging systems including radar beam type for cargo tanks was signed for Greek owners Remi Maritime and N. G. Moundreas projects.
The contract is for 13 complete shipsets and are following the 4 already contracted for delivery to Eitzen Chemical. Read more>>

KROHNE Skarpenords R&D Manager, Nils-Olav Skeie, awarded with PhD degree

We are very proud to announce that in October KROHNE Skarpenords R&D Manager, Nils-Olav Skeie, was awarded with a PhD degree. His thesis deals with different measuring methods for estimating of oil/water interface. The thesis is called “Soft sensors for Level Estimation”. Read more>>

Bourbon Offshore chose OPTIWAVE 8300 C Marine

(2008-August)  
Bourbon Offshore has ordered four new Platform Supply Vessels at Zhejiang Shipbuilding in Ningbo, China.
These are highly sophisticated vessels, to be built according to the Ulstein PX-105 MACS® design (Ulstein X-BOW®). New to this design is the 360 degrees free sight from bridge, initiated by Bourbon Offshore, to enchance the safety of operation.
For tank level gauging, owner chose our CARGOMASTER® system with OPTIWAVE 8300 C Marine tank radars. Read more>>

OSG chooses OPTIWAVE and CARGOMASTER® again

(2008-June)  
KROHNE Skarpenord has won the contract for delivering cargo level gauging systems to OSG’s newbuildings in Korea.
The OPTIWAVE cargo level radar (radar beam type) was found to be unbeatable when it comes to keeping operational costs at a minimum.
The 6 tankers will be delivered by SPP Shipbuilding Co in Korea. Read more>>

KROHNE Skarpenord still growing - 3 new employees

(2008-June)
Due to high activity and growing markets, we have recently expanded our staff with 3 new employees. First of all we welcome Mr. Frank L. Hegna who has already steered through more than 3 months as a Project Engineer. We also welcome Mrs. Hege Kongstein and Mrs. Berit I M Eik. Hege will be our Marketing Coordinator and will make sure KROHNE Skarpenord is represented the best possible way world wide. Berit will be our Project Accountant and is well qualified with 25 years of experience from banking. Welcome on board!

Largest order for CARGOMASTER

(2008-Jan)
The largest order for many years were signed today in Nantong Rongsheng shipyard in China. The order is for complete CARGOMASTER tank level gauging systems on 10 crude oil tankers. Read more>>
