Metering of produced water used for well water injection
The Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) recently ordered the first shipment of several hundred electromagnetic flowmeters from KROHNE.
Following successful signing of the 3-year agreement with KROHNE, PDO will be using the meters, type OPTIFLUX 4300, to measure produced water for well water injection.
PDO decided to use electromagnetic meters for water injection since these meters have been found to be less problematic compared to other types of flow meters, such as turbines.
KROHNE OPTIFLUX flow meter are not only technologically the state-of-the-art and well proven, but are also with competitively priced and come with good training, and no hassle support.
The diameters of the devices range from 1? to 20?; their pressure rating going up to 1500 lbs.
