10 tanker order signed

In Nantong Rongsheng shipyard in China, KROHNE Skarpenord signed an order for tank level gauging systems for 10 crude oil carriers today. The systems are for delivery from June this year until end of 2009.

We have been working for this order for a longer period of time, says Sales Director Hasse Hogner, and today's signatures was a relief. The first 6 tankers are for the Russian shipowner Novoship, whom we have been discussing with for several years. The shipowner have earlier used systems from a competitor, but found our solutions with OPTIWAVE and CARGOMASTER® to be benefociary for the cargo operations.

The 4 following shipsets are for Interorient Navigation of Cyprus, also finding OPTIWAVE radar beneficiary in the field for cargo monitoring.

Our Managing Director in China, Mr. Han Zhang, says the yard wanted to sign this order with KROHNE Skarpenord, based on previous experiences with our deliveries to China.
