KROHNE product showcase in ScotlandWellingborough, August 3rd, 2009:
All roads lead to Aberdeen this September for the biennial SPE Offshore Europe conference and exhibition being held from the 8th to the 11th of September at the AECC venue.
On course to be the largest event in its 30 year history, SPE Offshore Europe is widely regarded as the largest upstream oil & gas event outside of North America. The four day event will feature the latest technological developments from within the oil and gas field. Wellingborough based KROHNE UK will be there in conjunction with KROHNE Oil & Gas from The Netherlands, and Hamall Process Instruments, their Scottish agents, to showcase their latest products which have helped make them such a major force in instrumentation and flow-metering systems.
"KROHNE has long been seen as a leader and innovator in instrumentation" says Trevor Fawcett, Managing Director at KROHNE UK. "The oil and gas industry is an extremely important market for us. As such we are looking forward to meeting both new and existing customers at SPE Offshore Europe and demonstrating why our range of products and systems is perfect for their needs" he adds.
The KROHNE stand, number 1079 in Hall 2, will be focusing on some of the company’s key oil and gas products and systems. Visitors to the stand will be able to see the highly acclaimed OPTIMASS 2000 Coriolis mass flowmeter for accurate bulk measurement and KROHNE’s brand new ALTOSONIC V12, an ultrasonic gas flowmeter designed specifically for custody transfer applications in the oil and gas industry.
The ALTOSONIC V12 was developed to ensure it provided the highest achievable accuracy in the field and would be independent of installation conditions. It addresses the key issues of performance monitoring and optimisation of diagnostic capabilities. Designed with 12 measurement chords, 10 are in parallel planes and eliminate any swirl effects while two are vertical and reserved exclusively for diagnostic functions such as fouling. Once commissioned, it continuously monitors its own operating status.
Like the ALTOSONIC V12, the OPTIMASS 2000 has been developed to meet the demanding custody transfer requirements of the oil and gas industry. High flow rate coupled with impressive levels of performance make the OPTIMASS 2000 perfectly suited for the bulk measurement of petroleum, oil and raw chemicals. Superior accuracy is achieved with the combination and power of the MFC 300 signal converter, providing accurate measurement of volume; mass; density of better than 0.1% across a large 'Turndown'.
The OPTIMASS 2000 is also unrivalled in terms of safety with an operating pressure of 150 bar (2175 psi) and a stainless steel outer cylinder with a burst pressure in excess of 100 bar making the meter truly deserving of the descriptor ‘Straight, safe and best under pressure’!
Along with ultrasonic and mass flowmeters, the KROHNE stand will also feature details of their OPTIFLUX electromagnetic flowmeters for well-water injection, H250 variable area flowmeters and OPTISWIRL vortex steam meters along with information on the company’s flow metering systems, thereby showcasing the company’s claim to offer single-source and turnkey solutions for the many various metering needs of the oil and gas industry.
