KROHNE ascends to the Champions LeagueProducts and quality management system are fit for the premier league ASME Section III
The ?American Society of Mechanical Engineers? (ASME) demands the fulfillment of the highest quality management requirements for the energy industry. These requirements are binding for nuclear plants and components installed in there.
As KROHNE products can be installed in all areas of such plants, KROHNE has expanded its existing quality management system in order to fulfill the requirements of ASME Section III, Division 1, Class 1, 2 and 3.
For more than 30 years, KROHNE has been a reliable partner for operators of nuclear plants and engineering companies which ask their suppliers to implement a quality management system according to KTA 1401. KROHNE is KTA certified and the products installed under this regime are proven in practice. (KTA = Federal German Nuclear Power Plant Codes).
In October 2005 KROHNE was certified by ASME according to Section III and is now authorized to mark devices with an N-Stamp and an NPT-Stamp. This is a door-opener especially for the American market and the markets and plants which are subject to American standards.
The broad scope of the certification enables KROHNE not only to provide standard devices, but also to develop products according to nuclear customers needs.
The ASME certification is another proof of KROHNE?s competence as a partner for engineering high-tech products that satisfy the highest safety requirements.
