Ultrasonic clamp-on now also available for large sizes

OPTISONIC 6300 large

With the OPTISONIC 6300 large KROHNE now introduces a variation of the clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter for large sizes. The sensors are available in three versions: for small  pipe diameters (up to DN 100/ 4"), for medium-sized pipes (up to DN 400/ 16") and for large pipes (up to DN 4000/ 160").

With large pipe diameters in particular, clamp-on flowmeters are used if and where possible. The reasons are obvious. The costs of a clamp-on flowmeter are largely independent of the size of the pipe; in addition, compared to inline devices, especially in the field of water, these devices represent a more cost-efficient solution.

Easy Handling
KROHNE's OPTISONIC 6300 has a high-quality, robust clamping mechanism suitable to the industry. The system withstands even the toughest operating conditions and can even be used in explosive areas. One single industrial cable is the sole connection between the mechanical and electronic parts of the device. Perturbations due to dust, aggressive steam, sunlight or mechanical damages are prevented with an effective protective cover. Not only does the cover of the OPTISONIC 6300 protect the device but it also reduces the amount of maintenance needed. The OPTISONIC can be quickly installed in both the V and Z modes without training and without special tools.

High efficiency
Thanks to the three different types of sensors available, the complete range of pipe diameters from DN15 to DN4000 can be covered. In addition, two converters for applications with extreme temperatures are available: from -50 to +200°C.
The flexibility of the OPTISONIC 6300 goes even further. Three sensors can be combined with one electronic signal converter.
Clamp-on flowmeters from KROHNE are used primarily for applications where the process should not be interrupted, maintenance requirements must be kept to a minimum and the application should be monitored.
