Measure levels reliably at a glance

BM 26 Basic / Advanced - BM 26A

KROHNE expands the bypass indicator series BM 26 by adding the Basic and Advanced versions

Many users count on the BM 26 bypass indicator by KROHNE Messtechnik to reliably measure the level or interface of a tank at a glance. Especially when it comes to aggressive, toxic or flammable substances and harsh operating conditions, the tried and true level indicators have been proving themselves for years.

The series has now been expanded once again: With two new versions – BM 26 Basic and BM 26 Advanced – featuring smaller tube diameters (D=42 mm), there is now a wide range of products available to the user.

The unbeatable advantage of the series is its straightforwardness: The measuring devices work continuously without an auxiliary power supply and are easy to read even from a distance. And since the float is the only thing that comes into contact with the liquid to be measured, the measuring devices are virtually maintenance-free.

Unlike an inspection glass, the risk of leakage is considerably reduced since the tank does not have to be opened for servicing. As an option, limit value control gauges send out a signal as soon as preset levels have been reached or if the float sinks to the bottom of the chamber.

While the BM26 Basic is predominantly designed for simple applications, such as measuring liquids in storage and process tanks, the BM 26 Advanced is the new standard solution for applications in chemistry and petrochemistry. It was designed among other things for reliable level indication of hydrocarbons in refinery applications. Temperatures from -80 to 300 degrees Celcius as well as pressures up to 40 bar can be managed effortlessly by this series.

In addition, many accessories and designs such as various transmitters, special materials, seals and process connections are available. And it goes without saying that the devices are approved for operation in hazardous areas and have other certificates enabling users to count on the level indicators in difficult measuring environments as well.
