The German electronics company, SEMIKRON, relies on KROHNE's H 250 meters to provide actual volumetric flow rates within an accuracy range of 1.6% full-scale. The readings are transmitted to a display in the control room, while the cumulative flow is totaled by a counter built into the H 250. The H 250 measuring tube and float have no crevices or dead zones thereby allowing distortion free flow profile and preventing bacteria build up. The mechanical construction and the use of 2 wire technology makes static discharge impossible which is an important consideration in the semiconductor manufacturing process. The H 250 requires no periodic maintenance and is ideal for CIP (clean in place) making it one of the world’s most popular variable area flowmeters.
