Funnel-tube cooling with H 250
In refuse incineration plants, the refuse is mixed in the refuse bunkers with large grippers and fed to the incineration boiler via funnel tubes.
The funnel tubes are put under an enormous thermal and static load due to the extreme heat in the incineration boilers and the constant friction from loaded refuse. Our customer, a Swiss systems manufacturer, provides the funnels with two-layer cooling for this reason. The cooling circuit is divided into individual cooling zones to ensure optimum cooling over the entire area of the funnel tube. For the monitoring and control of the cooling circuit, our customer uses the solid-particle flow-through measurement device H 250.
