Flow measurement in partially filled pipelinesFor flow measurement in partially filled pipelines (DN200 to DN1800) in the wastewater industry, the KROHNE TIDALFLUX combines two different measurement principles.
The average flow velocity is measured electro-magnetically, even if the pipe is only 10% filled. As the two measuring electrodes are located below the 10% filling level, the TIDALFLUX is immune to any residues floating on the water surface and is not affected by flow profile or wave motion.
The filling level is measured by capacitive sensors which are integrated in the pipe wall. The abrasion-resistant polyurethane liner is unimpressed by sand or other particles in the flow. The converter measures not only flow and volume but also fill level. Furthermore TIDALFLUX gives notice if the readings fall below or exceed a certain value.
