The largest ever KHS filler with BATCHFLUX from KROHNE

BATCHFLUX 5015

The largest KHS filler for plastic bottles ever produced is on its way to Russia. Breweries Supply International (BSI), based in St. Petersburg, ordered the system, which is 8.4 m long, 7.3 m wide, 3.6 m high and weighs around 30 t for  their Deka Brewery in Veliky, Novgorod.

The filling system is assembled together in a block with the rinsing and closing systems. The complete block is 10 m long, 12 m wide, 3.6 m high and has a combined weight of around 37 t.

The unit from the Innofill DRV range, which has 180 filling stations, will be used for bottling kvass, a Russian bread-based  beverage, made from fermentation of the basic ingredients of water, rye and malt.  Each of the 180 filling stations is equipped with a BATCHFLUX electro-magnetic flow meter from KROHNE for volumetric filling. Until recently, Russians mostly produced kvass at home. With this system, BSI can achieve a bottling output of 36,000 2L PET bottles per hour.
