On the pulse with KROHNEThe measuring and regulating equipment department at König Pilsener clearly has its finger on the pulse, as they are using the new OPTISWIRL vortex flowmeter from KROHNE. König-Pilsener was among the first companies to order the device. They ordered two units, one for the compressed air system and the other for measuring heating steam to account for energy use.
The OPTISWIRL from KROHNE is the only vortex flowmeter with integrated pressure and temperature compensation. The OPTISWIRL 4070 gives reliable measurements of operating flow, flow volume at normal conditions and flow mass of conductive and non-conductive liquids, gases and steam even with varying pressure and temperature. The OPTISWIRL uses ISP equipment (Intelligent Signal Processing) developed by KROHNE. Intelligent signal processing ensures exact measurements, eliminating the effects of external influences.
The OPTISWIRL is robust, reliable and maintenance free. Thanks to its hard-wearing stainless steel construction, there is no danger of sedimentation or damage to the obstacle. It is also resistant to pressure, heat and corrosion. The vortex flowmeter is plug & play and can be put into operation immediately. The process is facilitated by its simple operation with intuitive user controls. The modular design of the electronics, normally used by KROHNE, makes them easy to change under process conditions, and PACTware comes as standard.
