BM 70 A in the Iron and Steel Industry


Level-Radar measures hot metal after tapping 

In the steel industry every 3-6 h hot metal at temperatures 1250-1450°C/ 2282-2642°F is taken from the blast furnance and flows via a channel into a movable ladle or torpedo ladle.
The BM 70 A measures the level of the liquid metal in the ladle.
