Comparison measurements with so-called master meters are much less accurate and cannot be verified
KROHNE calibration rigs are accredited by the RvA (Dutch Accreditation Board) to ISO 17 025. The measurement accuracy is better than 99.96% referred to a measuring range between 0.005 and 5 m3/s (18 - 18,000 m3/h)
The error of measurement of the calibration rigs is better by a factor of 7 to 10 than the accuracy data of the flowmeter being tested.
All flowmeters are calibrated under reference conditions, similar to EN 29 104.
All calibration data are genuine and verifiable; documented in writing in the calibration reports, supplied together with each KROHNE flowmeter. An example is shown on the right.

At this flow rate, a typical public swimming-pool can be filled in less than 1 minute.
Calibration volume uncertainty is less than 0.013% and less than 0.26 mm in terms of filling level (equal to the thickness of a single hair), based on an average pool depth of 2 meters.
