KROHNE reveals electromagnetic snow-meterIn the ski slopes of Austria, water is pumped from man-made lakes and ponds up to the snow cannons on the slopes.
The snow cannons – both stationary and mobile – spray the water into the air through fine jets. The fine spray of water solidifies in the cold air (min. –5°C) and falls as snow.
To avoid over-saturation of the soil, the government demands that the amount of water used is closely monitored, and stipulates the permissible amount per square meter.
AQUAFLUX 010K in two sizes (DN 150 PN 40, and DN 125 PN 64) were chosen because of their ruggedness and their consistent accuracy.
If your slopes need a snow-meter, contact your local KROHNE office.
