ALTOSONIC IV Ultrasonic gas flowmeter for custody transfer
More features than any other meter
As part of its brand new concept for ultrasonic flow meters, we are proud to present the ALTOSONIC IV, a 4-beam ultrasonic flowmeter for gas applications. At KROHNE, we already have more than 25 years experience with ultrasonic flow metering in the field.
The device provides maximum accuracy, even under extremely harsh operating conditions. With specially designed ultrasonic transducers integrated in the meter body and an integrated protected cabling system, the ALTOSONIC IV is an extremely robust measuring system.
Its compact design also provides protection against mechanical damage, and thus ensures stable and long-term measuring behaviour that is insensitive to interference.
Highly practical features of the ALTOSONIC IV are its 3D installation length and dual output pulses, which makes it compatible to other technologies, like turbine meters and very suitable for retrofitting.
The ultrasonic gas meter is the first meter of its kind that can operate under high pressure and ambient pressure. As a result, it can be calibrated with ambient air, thereby cutting calibration costs by up to 90 %.
Thanks to its extremely low power consumption, the ALTOSONIC IV ultrasonic gas flow meter can even be operated with solar energy. This means that for the first time ultrasonic gas meters can be used in gas exploration fields. This is a groundbreaking innovation.
