No more grounding rings and electrodes

OPTIFLUX 4300 C

Once again KROHNE succeeded in setting a new standard with regard to electromagnetic flowmeters. With the ?virtual reference? concept developed for the IFC 300 converter no costly grounding rings or electrodes for tubes with liners are necessary any more.

In applications with products having high electrical potential, electrochemical reactions may cause damages of the grounding electrodes which may even lead to leakages.

This can?t happen with a virtual grounding as grounding rings or electrodes are superfluous.
The advantages of the virtual reference are due to the completely isolated electronics. This means that there are no equalizing currents, and the risk of electrochemical reactions is eliminated.

Virtual reference will be available for minimum conductivities starting at 200 μS/cm and sensors with DN 10 and above.
